How are you spending your Stimulus check? For us, it’s finally doing something about our backyard. We have tried year after year to get grass to grow back there but it’s on a slope. And there’s a large canopy of trees so light is scarce. So this spring, we decided to xeriscape our backyard. We got some fl at stones and made a path and we’re growing native plants, such as ivy. We also purchased some solar lights, but guess what? The lovely tree canopy we have prevents any sunlight from reaching the solar lights (lights that coincidentally need sunlight to charge). So, unless I want to bring the lights up to charge in the sun on the porch every day, they don’t glow at night. Drats! Sometimes, you just can’t win!
