Grandparent(s) of the Year Contest

Do you have a special Grandparent(s) you’d like to honor as 2008 Grandparent(s) of the Year? Send us an essay explaining why they deserve the honor.

Essays should be 200 words or less and answer the following three questions:

1. What does your Grandparent(s) do that makes you feel very special?
2. What makes him or her more special than any other Grandparent(s)?
3. What is the most important lesson that your Grandparent(s) has taught you?

The winning “Grandparents of the Year” essay will be published in the September issue of Around Town/The TowneLaker.

Contest Rules:

New This Year — Your grandparent(s) don’t have to live in the Towne Lake area to be nominated! We realize a lot of awesome grandparents live away from their families too, so we’re opening up the nominations to grandparents who live ANYWHERE!

Deadline for “Grandparents of the Year” essays is Monday, August 11 at 5 p.m. The nominator needs to be resident of the Towne Lake area.

Essays must be accompanied by the writer’s full name and age, the nominee’s name, a contact phone number and an address. Essays will be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.

Mail entries to Around Town/The TowneLaker, 1025 Rose Creek Drive, Suite 340, Woodstock, GA 30189; fax to (770) 516-4809; or e-mail to editor@townelaker.com by the deadline.

No late entries will be accepted.
