Everyday Angels

Scott and Lynn O'Brien are blessed with four wonderful boys.  Raising four boys is a full time job in and of itself, but after their youngest son's first birthday, their busy life became even more complicated.  Davis, the youngest of their boys, had just celebrated his first birthday and went to the doctor for his scheduled vaccinations.  After his shots, he suffered an eight-hour seizure that inflicted severe global brain damage; he spent the next six weeks in Scottish Right Hospital.  Instead of a little one year-old who was beginning to talk and just starting to pull up and walk, he returned home as a one year-old that was now blind, could not drink or eat, and could not sit or even hold his head up without assistance.  Two years later, Davis requires 24 hours assistance and has made very small gains with little hope from doctors.

After years of research, Scott and Lynn learned about “Stem Cell Therapy” (SCT) treatment. This medical miracle has been practiced across the world for years and the results have been astounding. Although they have found many conditions that SCT can help with, brain damage is one of the conditions that they have seen the most amazing results with. This special treatment is offered in China and would require at least 30 days of treatment. Please understand that the stem cells extracted in China are not the controversial “Fetal Stem Cells.” After a live, full term birth, the stem cells are extracted from umbilical cord blood.

The O’Brien family needs your help in raising $45,000 for their 30-day trip to China to help Davis. Consequently, Lynn and Scott have set up a website that offers details about their son, Davis, as well as video links of the treatment they pray that he may receive. With little hope, they must do everything necessary to improve their son’s life and future. Please take a moment to view their website at www.davisgoestochina.com.

We can help! Our community is awesome and always steps up to the challenge. If each family contributes a nominal donation, they will meet their goals and will be able to schedule treatment for Davis. As a parent, we all know that we would stop at nothing to help our children. We can help them help him!

Please go to the website that was created and make your donation today. It is very easy and accepts credit cards and Paypal. You also may make your tax-deductible contribution through Everyday Angels if you wish, where 100 percent will go to Davis. Once Davis receives this treatment, the O’Briens hope to continue a ministry in Davis’ honor and assist other children who could benefit from SCT treatment. Every child needs hope, even when doctors don’t offer any. Everyday Angels will lift up Davis and his family in our prayers as they wait for the funds needed to plan their trip and look forward to following up on his progress.

Everyday Angels is a non-profit organization that provides short-term funding (currently up to a maximum of $425 per month) to those in our community in need. If you would like to offer assistance, please call (770) 615-3349.
